When your star defender is out, your defense obviously takes a hit, but when that star defender is not only a star defender for your team, but also one of the top defenders in the NFL, the hit is extremely significant.  That is the problem the Los Angeles Chargers are facing with Joey Bosa, their star defensive end.

Bosa, dealing with a foot injury, was supposed to be back to start the season, however, now it looks like he could miss several weeks.  Bosa, who has 23.0 sacks over the last two seasons, is a catalyst to the defense of the Chargers staying strong.  If Bosa is out, the defense of the Chargers is bad and the Chargers will be in a shootout each week to try to win.
